About

Lakesidefm is an independent community publication. The name, the greeting on the front page and the language of the site are the whole of what carried over from its earlier form; everything else that once sat here is gone, and nothing has been put in its place that cannot stand on its own.

No staff list, no contact address, no membership, no affiliation and no archive of older writing survived, so none of those things is claimed here. If a page does not exist on this site, it is because there is nothing to put on it.

What this site is not

It is not a clinic, a treatment centre, a recovery programme, a helpline or a health authority, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any agency, hospital, university, professional body or certifying organisation.

Nothing published here is medical or professional guidance. Anything touching health is general reading only, and anyone with a health question should take it to their own clinician.

Reading the notes

Notes appear on the front page in date order, newest first, and each one also keeps its own permanent address so a link to a note stays good. The full list lives on the notes page, and the monthly archive in the sidebar leads to the same place.
